Sunday Announcements - 20/10/2019

  • A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped helped decorate the church or tidy up the grounds yesterday.  The church looked amazing and the grounds superb!
  • Session meets tomorrow @ 7:30 in the Manse for Prayer
  • Set your video recorders - our service of morning worship will be broadcast next Sunday, 27th October (11:10-12:00 GMT).  If you don't have a video recorder, you will be able to find us on the RTE Player

Sunday Announcements - 13/10/2019

  • On Friday October 18th we will be having the next meeting of our Time Travellers Childrens Club - please note that this is from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
  • On Saturday October 19th there will be a clean-up of the church grounds and decoration of the church for Harvest - more details next week - please bring some non-perishable items to help decorate the church
  • Thanks to everyone who travelled in to RTE today for the recording of our service of worship

Sunday Announcements - 06/09/2019

  • Committee meets tomorrow in the church hall @ 7:30pm
  • Next Sunday, October 13th, we will be having our regular service @ 11:00am but we will then be in the RTE studios @ 1:30pm to record a television service.  Please note that the entrance to RTE is now off the N11 and not via Nutley Lane.
  • If you have received a tax refund form, please complete it and return it to Mark Higgins as soon as possible.  If you have not received a form and think you should have, please contact Mark, and if you are not giving by standing order or the Weekly Freewill Offering envelope scheme and would like to do so, again, please contact Mark

Sunday Announcements - 29/09/2019

  • Praise Service tonight @ 6:30, followed by Tea and Coffee in the hall
  • The Soup and Sandwich Lunch returns on Tuesday this week from 12:30, also in the church hall
  • On Wednesday @ 7 there will be a rehearsal of our Televised Service @ 7:00pm, with the RTE team in attendance
  • Men's Breakfasts return this week with the Working Men's Breakfast in the Manse @ 7:30 on Thursday and the Retired Men's Breakfast in the church hall @ 8:30
  • Next Sunday, October 6th will be our formal service of communion

Sunday Announcements - 22/09/2019

  • The recording of our televised service is scheduled for Sunday October 13th, with transmission on Sunday October 27th (We promise not to mention Brexit!)  Please put your name on the sign-up sheet at the front of the church
  • We had 35 children at our new Children's Club - well done to our young people who lead from the front on this.  Most of the children were from outside our usual church network which was great to see
  • Don't forget to bring something for Storehouse!
  • If you didn't get a pink sheet this morning detailing the new rotas, please pick one up at the back of the church and put a note in our diary..

  • We will be starting our Young People's Club on Friday 20th September for all children of primary school age from 6pm to 8pm, please come along and bring a friend - You can now pre-register on line, check out the link on our home page
  • Kirk Session meets tomorrow evening in the Manse
  • There is a sign-up sheet for the RTE Televised Service to be recorded on October 13th - please sign the sheet or let Craig or Gary know if you can attend

  • Today we had the pleasure of a visit from John, Sarah and Timothy O'Donnell - John is being installed and ordained in Bailieboro On September 7th - he will have a network of four churches to support.  They have already started to settle into their manse and have been overwhelmed with the love and support to date.  Please keep them in your prayers over the coming months and years

  • Today we had the pleasure of Terry Price leading our service while Gary was away (do listen, it was great!).  Terry's brother and sister-in-law (Peter and Anthea) were over visiting and Anthea played the piano for us
  • Kayla C. delivered our reading this morning - the first time I can recall anyone being applauded for a reading - well done Kayla!

Sunday Announcements - 04/08/2019

  • It's Gary's birthday today!
  • A great time was had by both children and leaders at last week's Holiday Bible Club - the leaders are looking forward to a well-earned rest!
  • Gary will be away at the New Horizon conference this week in Coleraine.  Jim Carson will be providing pastoral care in his absence. Terry Price will be preaching next Sunday.
  • There are currently two Sunday's in the summer where we are looking for volunteers to supervise the children.  If you are available and willing to help out on August 18th or 25th, please let Dawn, Gary or Craig know (videos available, no preparation required!)

  • Our Holiday Bible Club is on this week we have over 60 children pre-registered, but there is still room for more (link on our home page)
  • If anyone is free tomorrow, the church grounds could do with a little weeding - please speak to Joyce if you have any time, or turn up when it suits you
  • The Holiday Bible Club Barbecue is on Thursday evening @ 6:30 pm.  Children, Parents and Church members are all invited - please speak to Gary or Dawn if you planning to be there
  • Praise Service tonight @ 6:30pm, Cahaba Park team will be in attendance and there will be tea and coffee afterwards

Sunday Announcements - 23/06/2019

  • Session Prayer Meeting previously scheduled for Monday 24th June has been postponed due to a lot of members being unable to attend.  A new date has yet to be set.
  • Tiglin & Newcastle Parish Church - there is a fundraiser for these two organisations on Sunday.  This takes place is the gardens of Ballydoneray House in  Kilcoole NEXT SUNDAY, 30th JUNE.  Tea & Scones will be served from 3-6pm, Cheese & Wine served from 6-9pm.  Admission is €10 per person.  More details from Craig Petrie
  • Praise Service next Sunday (30th) @ 6:30pm
  • At 8:30am next Saturday, there will be a time of prayer at the manse followed by Coffee & Croissants for breakfast

  • We are looking for volunteers for our Holiday Bible Club - please put your name on one of the sign-up sheets, lots of roles available
  • We are also looking for volunteers to lead one or more Summer Sunday Club sessions in order to give our Sunday Club leaders a break.  Again, there is a sign-up sheet in the church or contact us via the contacts page if you would be willing to help
  • The General Assembly takes place in the first week in June - please keep this event in your prayers and check out the links above to follow the proceedings
  • Session meets tomorrow evening in the Manse, please pray for our elders
  • Next week is our informal communion service
  • We had an amazing Children's Service today.  If you missed it, well it's too late, sorry, you will have to make sure you are there for the next one!

  • Next Sunday morning is our end-of-season Children's Service - the children have been practising hard and there is a surprise or two in store

  • We are looking for volunteers for our Summer Holiday Bible Club, being held the week of 29th July (starting day to be confirmed), including people to do setting up and clearing up - there is a role awaiting your skills!
  • The YWCA is on a final push for raising funds for the Youth Cafe (check out their Facebook page for pictures) and are holding a musical event called "Over the Top" in the Hot Spot over the Beach House next Saturday - tickets from the YWCA or Joyce Lee
  • CSSM is looking for beds for the workers in July - if you have a spare room in July, please contact Joyce Lee

  • The National Bible Society of Ireland is hosting a lecture entitled "The Word from Lebanon" in St. Anne's Church on Dawson Street on Thursday 16th May (3pm for 3:30)
  • Anam Cara, the group which supports bereaved parents, is holding an event in the Parkview Hotel, Newtownmountkennedy on Monday May 20th - more details here
  • Don't forget to keep supporting the Storehouse project at the front of the church

  • The church community has won an award! The Greystones Municipal District in partnership with the Wicklow Times has honoured us with a Special Recognition Award - "Greystones Churches Togther" for our part in working collaboratively with the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches in the town - photo on our photo page..

  • On May 25th, Kill of the Grange church is hosting a Ladies Breakfast, with guest speaker Hazel Morell.  This starts at 8:30.  More details can be found on the noticeboard in the hall
  • The monthly Soup & Sandwich lunch takes place this Tuesday, May 7th from 12:30 to 2pm
