Social

Crafts Group

Our Crafts Group meets on a Monday morning in our Hall for the shared experience of working on their latest craft project (e.g. knitting) and enjoying a cup of tea and a chat.

Wednesday Playgroup

During school term-time our baby and toddler playgroup (plus minders) is held from 10:00 to 11:30 on Wednesdays. A donation to cover the cost of tea/coffee for the minder and healthy snacks and juice for the toddlers is appreciated. Debit and Credit Cards are accepted.
Lots of adults have called our group “a life line“ and look forward to it every week. Our session concludes each week with an organised tidy-up and some group singing with the toddlers.
  • According to the HSE, Parent, baby and toddler groups are informal meetings in local communities where parents can chat and socialise and bring their small children with them. Carers, grandparents, guardians and childminders are also welcome.
  • At these groups you can:

  • Meet other parents in the area with children the same age as yours
  • Get parenting tips and support from the other parents/carers
  • Make friends and build a local support network for yourself
  • Play with your child and get the chance to give them your undivided attention, away from the distractions at home
It is important for your child to mix with other children of a similar age. This helps them to develop social skills. Parent, baby and toddler groups are a good place to do this.

Men's Breakfasts

We have a Men's group of Church Members and Guests who meet @ 07:30 on the 2nd Friday of the month for a great breakfast and some friendly chat. The objective is simply social time and a chance to catch up

Children's Socials

From time-to-time we hold social events just for the children, usually encompassing a games or video night, food, drink and snack and occasionally a sleep-over.

Adult's Socials

We hold lunches, afternoon teas and other events for those in their "maturer" years with time on their hands.

Family Socials

From time to time we hold social events suitable for the whole church family including Beetle Drives and Quiz Nights, these often double as fundraising events for charities.

Church Barbeques

Church Barbeques on our patio (weather permitting) or in our hall are often a social highlight, enjoyed by members and visitors alike. Occasionally we will be hosted in somebody's garden..

Weekends Away

From time to time we organise Weekends Away for the church members and guests. Our next planned weekend away is in October 2025 when will be staying in Ovoca Manor. In the past we have also stayed at Castledaly Manor
