Ministry

Worship & Bible Teaching

We meet at 11:00 each Sunday for Worship, Prayer and Bible Teaching; central elements of our faith. On the first Sunday of each month we alternate between formal and informal celebrations of The Lord's Supper. Anyone who is a follower of Jesus is welcome to join us in this celebration.

Praise Evenings

Dates can vary but generally on the first Sunday of each month we meet at 6:30 pm for a time of Praise with a mix of modern and traditional songs. Check out our News page for details.

Sunday Club

Our Church operates an active Sunday Club for children during our Sunday morning worship. The beginning of our service is deliberately aimed at engaging our children before they leave the service for Sunday Club. All our Sunday Club volunteers undertake Garda Vetting and the completion of both Tusla and PCI child safe-guarding training as required. We aim to have two leaders present at all times with the children. Parental approval is sought for all images which include children and images are obfuscated where appropriate.

Youth Ministry

For our teenagers we run a weekly bible-study in the manse, please contact Gary for details. Every two weeks we run "Living Stones" youth group during our service for children who consider themselves too old for our Sunday Club but are not yet ready for a full church service.

Young Life

Young Life is an International Youth Organisation with the mission to introduce young people to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Young Life in Greystones is led and supported by the younger adults in our church and weekly events are held in our hall on Sunday evenings.

C.S.S.M.

The Children's Special Service Mission, operated by Scripture Union, has been coming to Greystones every year since 1897. We are delighted to support this work through the provision of our Church facilities but also through the many young people from our Church who have served as leaders over the years.

Home Groups

A number of Home Groups run each week in the Greystones area, Ladies groups, Men's groups and mixed groups. If you are interested in joining one of these, please fill out our Contact form.

Alpha Courses

We regularly run both the original Alpha Course and the Alpha Marriage Course. The Alpha Course is aimed at those exploring the Christian faith and what it means for them. The Alpha Marriage Course is aimed at couples either approaching marriage, or reinvesting in their marriage. For details of the next courses, please use our Contacts page.

Social Action - Storehouse

We support the work of Storehouse, part of the FEAD programme, which is operated by Crinken Church in Shankill, Co. Dublin. The FEAD programme provides long-life food via their charity partners to families and individuals in need. Food supplied consist of breakfast cereals, rice, pasta and pasta sauce, soups, canned fish, jam, tea, coffee, sugar, and canned vegetables and fruit. The food items are easy to transport and store. The FEAD programme also provides material assistance in the form of school stationery kits to children who are being supported by FEAD food assistance in both national and secondary schools. Donations of long-life (dry/tinned) foodstuffs are welcomed in church each Sunday.

Eco-Church

We have a small group who are actively working to make our church building more eco-friendly and welcoming. Projects include Flower Baskets and Planters, new wooden benches, a water butt and bicycle stands. Having recently acquired some new cushions for our pews, we are delighted to be able to pass on the old cushions to another church in the vicinity rather than sending them to landfill.
Eco-Congregation IreLAND
"The earth is created, sustained and redeemed by Christ. We cannot claim to love God while abusing what belongs to Christ by right of creation, redemption and inheritance. We care for the earth and responsibly use its abundant resources, not according to the rationale of the secular world, but for the Lord’s sake. If Jesus is Lord of all the earth, we cannot separate our relationship to Christ from how we act in relation to the earth. For to proclaim the gospel that says ‘Jesus is Lord’ is to proclaim the gospel that includes the earth, since Christ’s Lordship is over all creation. Creation care is thus a gospel issue within the Lordship of Christ."

Online Witness

We have an active online presence with our social media sites, livestreaming of our services, email and WhatsApp channel. If you are unable to attend church in person, there are many ways you can engage with us. For the technically minded, we livestream using OBS and use EasyWorship for presentation of song lyrics and Scriptures. Our main camera is an Axis V5925 mounted at the rear of the church. We are registered with CCLI for the rights to use songs online and in church. Our sound desk is a Midas32. Our internet access utilises 4G/LTE with line-of-sight to a nearby mast.
