Contribution Guidance
Thank you for agreeing to participate in the leading of our Worship Service. Congregational participation is part of the call to serve and people are greatly encouraged by the contributions of others.
The Elders/Trustees are mindful that during unscripted prayers and personal testimonies in our services, contributors may say things that could be private, unintentionally inappropriate, accidentally hurtful or even defamatory.
This note serves as general guidance to all contributors and is not directed at any individual or group, nor is it intended to censor biblical truth.
Contributors are reminded that our services are livestreamed. These livestreamed services are an important part of our witness and the ability to livestream services on special occasions with timely content (which may be unscripted) is essential to that witness however once a statement is “out there” it is impossible to undo.
We ask that your contributions during our service are at all times respectful and are not something that would bring into question the honesty or integrity of others, nor something that would bring our church into disrepute. When you are identifying individuals, please be sure that you have their permission. If in doubt, we suggest reflecting on Romans 14:13-23, Proverbs 12:18, James 1:26 or Ephesians 4:29 before finalising your contribution.
If you need any specific clarifications please speak to one of the Elders, thank you.
