Wicklow Choral Festival takes place on Saturday 6th April @ 7pm – tickets for this may be purchased from the school or from Greystones Business Bureau. All proceeds are going to the Greystones Youth Cafe project at the YWCA

Thanks to everyone who participated in or contributed to the running of the AGM last week. Among other topics, the plans for the redevelopment of the old meeting rooms and toilets between the church and the hall were discussed. It is hoped that we will be able to proceed with this work soon.

On Sunday 17th March, our church service will be at 10:00am to facilitate those who either want to attend the Greystones parade or to escape the town before it starts!

Prayer Ministry: Don’t forget that we are offering a prayer ministry after the service each Sunday. If you like us to pray for you or with you, there will be a ministry team waiting for you in the north transept
Discipleship Course: On Thursday 28th February we will be starting a 10-week course entitled “Freedom in Christ”, starting @ 7:00pm each week. Families and teens welcome. Each evening will start with tea, coffee and dessert! (There always has to food!)
Praise Service: This is on next Sunday, 24th February @ 6:30pm
Gary will be away during the week and next weekend – Jim Carson will be filling in if you are in need of pastoral care
Booksale: There will be a booksale after church next Sunday – please come “loaded with cash” as we raise funds for Karagiri.
Parking: A number of disabled parking signs have been purchased for use at the front of the church – please don’t use these spaces unless you have a genuine need.
Youth Groups: These are on tonight as usual
On Thursday 28th, in the church hall, we will be starting a 10-week course entitled “Freedom in Christ”. This is a discipleship course for everyone, about learning to know who we are in Christ – More on this next week
Prayer: Don’t forget our day of prayer is tomorrow, Feb 4th with 30-minute slots for prayer between 7:00am and 10:30pm – There are lots of things we can be praying for and we will give you some suggestions if you need them. Even if you have not signed up for a particular prayer slot, please pray throughout the day
Working Men’s Breakfast: This is on this week (Thursday) in the church hall – Andy will be cooking the porridge!
Soup & Sandwich Lunch: This is on Tuesday this week from 12:30 in the church hall
Church hall: The south end of the church hall has been re-clad (due the presence of some wet rot) and the windows replaced at the the same time. Take a look next time you are passing
Taylor Students: There are 23 students this semester and we are looking for host families to adopt them while they are here (until end of April). The intention is that church members would adopt 2 students, and take them for dinner or an activity at least 3 times. Please contact Craig or Brian if you can help
Prayer: We are looking for church members to sign up to one or more 30-minute slots for prayer on Monday February 4th – between 7:00am and 10:30pm – There are lots of things we can be praying for and we will give you some suggestions if you need them.
Cleaning: There is a new cleaning rota at the back of the church – please check to see when you are next on, or speak to Geraldine if you would be willing to help
Men’s Breakfasts: The retired men’s breakfast is this Friday (1st of the month) but the working men’s breakfast is not until the following week.
There will be a meeting of Session tomorrow (21st) at 7:30 in the manse
We continue to look for new leaders for Sunday Club – if you have a call tro church development and the teaching of our children, please talk to Dawn, Gary or Craig.
Church Cleaning – we are looking for volunteers to do some occasional light cleaning of the church – please talk to Geraldine if you could help.

On Saturday 19th January there will be a seminar in the YWCA (Coolnagreina) lead by Rev. Dr. Keith McCrory of Maynooth Community Church on the subject of “Leading through Conflict: A day of reflection and training on Conflict & Conciliation for Christian Leaders” It runs from 10am to 4pm. The cost is €45. The cost can be subsidised if required. Talk to Gary, Craig or Joyce for more information.
