Announcements – 11th of January, 2009

Welcome to our Service this morning. We trust you will be blessed and enjoy your time with us. If you need anything or want to know anything about the church, or what we have on offer here, please speak to Brian or contact Rev. Montgomery (Monty) by phone on 287-4479; or email: .

Parents with children under three are encouraged to use our crèche facilities in the Hall at the back, at any time during the service. Our crèche team are on duty from the beginning of the service. For children aged three and upwards we have our Sunday Club programme during the second half of the service. Teens are encouraged to leave for discussion time after the sermon.

Today

Rev. Montgomery is away until the 18th so our sermon today will be given by our Congregational Volunteer, John O’Donnell. John will be preaching on the well-known parable called “The Prodigal Son” found in Luke 15:11-32. The service will be led by Joyce Lee. After the sermon John will be taking the teens out for discussion time.

There will be Tea and Coffee available in the hall after today’s service. Everyone is invited to join us.

Women’s Bible Study, starts back this Friday (the 16th) at 10am, speak to Jen Robinson for details and venue.

Other Announcements

Next Sunday (18th) Monty will resume our series on “A Manifesto for a New Ireland”: looking at Jesus’ teaching from the Sermon on the Mount. Sunday’s topic: “Divorce: Option, Sin or Reality?” Matthew 5:31-32

Living Stones, our teen ministry, will be starting up again on the 25th of January. We will be kicking things off with a special games night at the Manse, please speak to John O’Donnell for details.

Tuesday 20th: Congregational Committee meeting at 7.30pm Session meeting 8.30pm. Material will be available for collection by elders on Sunday 18th

We are delighted to announce that the new Greystones Churches’ Youth Worker is Sarah-Jane Taylor. We hope to introduce her to the congregation some time in the near future.
